Actually I still will never drive across any rails without checking visually in both directions, I saw soooo many super dangerous f***-ups, often a mix of human error and messy tech...
It would be a good idea, too, if getting a driver license for an ordinary car would include an hour driving a bus, that way people would get a far better understanding of the danger of weight in motion!
