Hello everybody,
How is your weekend going? I am busy transforming my house in to a "hotel" Haha, no not really but we are getting two visitors over from Spain and I realize that I never had guests on a sleep over before. And these to are not staying just one night that a simple mattress would be okay. They are staying the whole week. So I am transforming my office room in to a bedroom. That also was a very good time to get ride of a lot of stuff and clean every thing in here.
But that is not a real good topic for this Friday's post. Today I have some pictures that I have made while we were visiting the city of Porto in Portugal. I think I already made a post about it but those were pictures that I took with my telephone. I started out taking pictures with my camera but I was not feeling it that day. We also brought the dog and than making pictures with the camera is a bit of a struggle.
We took the bus from the camping site along the beach and when I saw a nice view over the water I quickly hit the stop button and we got off. That was a nice start of the trip.
This was a nice moment. I love this one, so typical Porto.
This guy was flying his drone around the bridge. I am not sure if that is aloud but I am not telling. I was waiting for him to be finished so I could ask for his socials, i was very curious what he was filming. to bad he was busy for a long time and we were moving on.
There is a small sidewalk over the bridge, but walk on the right side, if you are doing wrong, the locals are shouting at you. So we experienced 😅.
At the other side of the bridge is are stairs going up. Pretty high but we still did it.
Here a "co-worker photographer" at work.
I love how the laundry is still dried outside here. Even on a touristic spot like this.
It is a nice way to enter the city center. Trough small streets like this with all the colorful houses.
When you are on top of the bridge, it starts out a bit sloppy. Old abandoned buildings, overgrown with plants. To bad for a prime location like this. Very curious what the story behind it is.
I tried to make some panorama's from this location. The results are not that good, to much distortion.
This one is a little better.
View on the river and the old port ships.
And at the other side a castle like construction. They probably needed to protect this location good. Well it is the entrance to the rest of the city so I understand that.
At the end of the day I got my camera out again. Just to capture this image. It started to rain and we went home again. We wanted to take the bus again but the bus driver told us we couldn't go on the bus with a dog... The way in to Porto they didn't mined. So we took a cab. More comfort and quicker.
