photographing Butterfly's with my new macro lens.

Hello photo lovers,

How is your week going? Do you have some nice things plan this week?
I am playing with my new macro lens this week. I love that thing. I should have bought it way sooner. i did have a lens like this a long time ago and I needed to sell it because i needed money. And now I have found one on marketplace. I could resist and bought it.

So get ready for more macro photography spam.
But don't be to exited, have a little patient, because I don't have a lot of time to edit the pictures. Just as I have to have patients about the taking pictures part. I need to slow down more to capture all the bugs and insects. Some of them are really quick. But this beauty stayed in his/here place.

I could get really close to the butterfly but eventualy she/he went off.

This composition is not that good but I was happy I got this on in frame to.

I cropped the picture a little bit so you can see the details better. pretty hairy dude.

And I found this one on the ground. Perfectly camouflaged with the soil in between the pine needles.

Waves, i need to play with that to. Thanks for the reminder.

Ahh that came out really well, we got the same butterflies here, the first one is the most classic butterfly ever 😅

Is it the monarch butterfly? It's not going very good with insects in the Netherlands. To much pesticide use here.

that's the monarch, we got a lot of this

Vanessa atalanta this one

Of course that one 😅👍 thanks

Macro lens is always fun to play around with, they help us see the macro world a lot closer. I don't have macro lens but my camera has 35x zoom and that makes me see some awesome stuff I otherwise wouldn't.

35 time zoom? Wow. How close can you focus?

I am not sure but I googled the focus range is within these

  • Wide-angle (25mm): 1 cm (0.4 in) to infinity
  • Telephoto (875mm): 2.4 m (7.9 ft) to infinity

Mine also has digital zoom too, up to 60x

basically looks like that( taken from my @macchiata's account)

Haha holy 💩 almost 900mm 😅 very impressive

Indeed 😄 and it's just a prosumer camera

I took this at 400 mm and cropped it a bit.
