Point of View - A New Photo Exhibition

in Photography Lovers2 days ago

Today I visited three exhibitions. It's not something you should do, or at least some people think three exhibitions in one day are too many, but at the end of the day, it depends on you. Some think by the time you go home, you forget everything and have no clue what you've seen, but that's not the case with me.

As you know, I take photos of everything I see at the exhibition and as I write about it, that's basically a process of refreshing my memory.

So today I started with a mixed art exhibition, then came a photo exhibition and the cherry on the cake was the textile exhibition, which I've been waiting for for a month or so. It's the dearest form of art for me and really wanted to see what these talented artists have come up with this year.

However, today I'm going to show you the photography exhibition and the rest comes after, so stay tuned if you are interested in art.

The title of this exhibition was "Point of View", like you see it, in English and it was a lovely one. I like photography exhibitions and I like to post about them as well as there are quite a few people who like to learn from them.

Vanesa

Again, my job as a photographer was made more difficult by the glare, the light coming from where it shouldn't and so on. The good thing is, the gallery is not crowded when I am usually visiting, so I have the luxury of turning the light on and off, as I please, but even so, I could not avoid the white spot on the photo and the reflection.

Lock

This is the type of photography I like and would love to focus on in the near future, if I have the occasion. I love how the photographer framed the shot and the colors are lovely as well.

Sparking Makers

Now this is a very interesting photo. I have always thought a blacksmith's workshop is a gold mine for a photographer and as you can see, you can take some amazing shots, but the truth is, these are less and less and also, who would like to have a photographer obstructing them during the work?

Green

A piece of village life. Back in the day, meaning at the beginning of the 20th century, these ceramic jugs were used in the everyday life and most of the times these were hung on the wooden fence. I love this photo. The contrast between the green wooden fence and the ceramic jug is lovely.

Venice

This is a classic scene you can see in Venice and if you're lucky to catch the appropriate light, you can capture a lovely photo.

20250522_113917a.jpg

Such a photograph is always a must for me. I just can't resist temptation when I see those doorways lined up so nicely and the light coming from many sources.

20250522_113933a.jpg

Steps

This is a photo I'd take any day, all day. I love stairs, steps, narrowing hallways and so on and what I love even more is bricks and brick-like stones. This photo is framed perfectly.

Mózsi

Mózsi, or Moses in English. Here I'm tagging @dimascastillo90 as I know he likes these type of portraits. They say one photo is worth a thousand words. I'd say the face of Mózsi tells a thousand stories. Every wrinkle on his face has a story. I hope one day I can take a series of portraits like this, but it's not so easy.

Loneliness

The title and the tone of the photo is perfect. Opting for black and white in scenes like this is the best. I love how the lamps are lined and the point of view where the photo was taken. Lovely.

Knight

This photo takes you back to a different era. I suppose this is a statue, but the shot is really good.

Janis

Apart from the discomfort the color of her hair and skirt is creating in me, it's a good portrait.

Shepherd Cottage

This is a scene you see in some places, especially in small villages, where shepherding is still a thing and they are doing it as their ancestors were doing it. It's a very sad scene as it shows the level of poverty these people are facing, but from photographic point of view it's excellent.

This is an interesting one. I was wondering where the photographer was standing when taking the shot as there's water in front, which offers a nice reflection.

I am always admiring these bird photos as this is a niche I'm not present in. You need special equipment to capture birds well and a good dose of patience as well, which I'm lacking of, when it comes to watch birds for 3 weeks, just to take a photo :D

I love this cute birdie. look how serious she is, but she's a bit angry as well I suppose, or just how she looks like. Ok, jokes aside, i have a huge respect for those who are photographing birds.

Look at this little cutie. How can you not like it? The lovely flowers are making the photo wonderful.

So this is it for today. The next one will have some amazing photos, so stay tuned :)

Wowww, great shots, but Janis is amazing, really amazing!

She is amazing but she needs to select her clothes more carefully 😜

😂😉😂

Hoom yes👍👍👍👍

I really liked the knight and the blacksmith, there is something in these pictures. The knight looks as if he is alive, and in the frame with the blacksmith you can feel the dynamics of the moment. And almost all the works in the pictures are excellent, but these two caught my attention. Yes, and I am not sure that if I had just seen these pictures, and not in printed format, they would not have made such an impression

Looks like the knight is the favorite in this edition and I agree with it. Would be fun to see the scene and take some photos from duff angel.

The blacksmith is another good one. I'm still hoping to get to a workshop one day and do a complete photo shoot if possible.

Beautiful exhibition! I especially love the Steps photos (imagining how cool those stones are to the touch), and Knight (suffering a little bit of claustrophobia imagining my head stuck in that iron helmet). I think you're right about how much patience would be needed to photograph birds lol.

The steps are so cool and I'm happy to have had the occasion to walk on similar steps so many times. The knight is also amazing.

Photographing birds is a tough task and it's not for me to be honest. I love them, but don't want to waste hours for a few shots.

The one I spent the most time looking at was the Lock. I love photography of older fixtures and implements. I like to see all the detail in the worksmanship and think about the skilled hands with their tools that went into building or making such things. MY wife is an owl lover, so she would go googoo over that one.

The lock was one of my favorites too. I love that type of photography and used to take photos of old locks on gates but it's becoming dangerous as those are private properties and I can be accused of planning a break-in 🙁

Lol, your wife knows owls are cute 😍

Beautiful photos. I really like the photos with the birds, but the photo with the knight is very special and my eyes were literally glued to it. Thank you!

Then photo with the knight is indeed special.

A fascinating photo exhibition. The photos with birds impressed me the most. How much patience do you need to have to take a good photo?) Thanks for the instructions at the end, I'll find a moment to reread them. Have a nice day 😊

I knew a guy who went out at 6am for 3 weeks every morning, to catch a bird and this was in England, where he had to endure fog and rain. So you need a lot of patience :)

A nice day to you too :)

There is something to see and something to highlight for myself. I need to find time and visit a good photo exhibition (I have not been to any)

I go to two every month 😜😂 and a bunch of other art exhibitions, for free.

I like to decorate my house with beautiful pictures on the walls.

You can print out your photos, frame them and hang them out on your wall.

Wow you got lots of beautiful pictures here. Haha what must have gotten the birdie angry

Haha what must have gotten the birdie angry

Most likely she was not really to model for the camera 😀

🤣🤣😂 funny

Interesting suggestion. I like it.

What suggestion are you talking about?

The paintings are beautiful one after the other.

I'm not sure if the translation is to blame here or not but these are photographs.

What a beautiful visit! I have always been a pleasure to visit such exhibitions. Great that is great with different topics. I admire your taste and taste.

You definitely know what I like and consider exciting. Someday I will have the opportunity to do that kind of portraits with older people. The expressions and details on their faces is really deep.

Thanks for tagging me my dear friend @erikah 🥰😘 lovely photo exhibition ❤️

Have a great weekend ✨
