Another Amazing Photo Exhibition

in Photography Lovers5 months ago

Friday, when I went to see the amazing exhibition I posted about here, I also visited a photo exhibition, which always means a lot of excitement for me, because unlike with art, I can learn a lot just by studying those photos. Don't get me wrong, I can learn from artworks too, but as I have no talent, the chances for me to create artworks is slim to none.

What you're going to see here today are the photos that participated at the International Hungarian Photo Exhibition in 2023.

Alpár Czire - Every Path Leads To The Same Road

When I'm visiting a photo exhibition, usually I value the photos as a photographer (even though I'm not a professional photographer) and as a simple visitor. As a photographer I try to evaluate the setup, light, exposure, angle, framing and so on. As a visitor, or a viewer, I focus on what feelings the photo is giving me.

This photo is interesting from both perspectives. I love how the photographer has captured the light at the far end of the road, but I also can't neglect the feeling of calm the photo shows. Walking that path does not fascinates me, but sitting under those trees, enjoying the shade and the quiet does.

István Magdó

This photo is specially interesting as it was taken through the fire. We all know extreme heat can change the way you see things and a good fire is perfect to demonstrate that. I've never taken such a photo, but maybe I'll have the chance this year. Fingers crossed I don't forget it when I'll have the chance.

Zsigmond Bálint - The Apple Doesn't Fall Far from the Tree

I love this. Mother and daughter, dressed up in traditional Hungarian (Transylvanian, I suppose) folk costumes. Look at the room behind them, decorated with hand painted plates and the furniture is also made of wood and hand painted, as it used to be once. Unfortunately my knowledge of fold costumes is limited, so I have no idea what region these ladies are from, but regardless, the costumes are nice.

I love how the photographer has chosen to frame the scene, using the mirror on the left side, to capture another angle that would not be visible otherwise.

Csaba Hátszegi - At Work

There are no words to describe this photo for the obvious reason. It made me drooling the second I spotted it on the wall. That oven baked bread was calling my name, I would be happy to have them all. This type of bread is something you can hardly find these days. Bakeries are using new ovens and the baking process is very different.

It's an amazing photo, that fits the moments of life category very well. Imagine the hard work this lady is putting in every single day.

Szilamér Huszár

These two photos that don't have a title (this one and one above) have as title on line from the Hungarian anthem, that is a bit difficult to translate and makes little to no sense if you don't know the whole story.

However, the photo is that counts here and it counts a lot. Look at the reflections on the musical instrument. How on earth can you capture such a photo. It's absolutely amazing!

Zsolt Bikfalvi - Unconditional Love

There is a huge amount of emotions in this photo and if you can't see it, it means you don't understand the bond between horses and owners or good people in general. This photo speaks on its own, no words are needed here in my opinion.

Opting for black and white was the best decision.

Sebestyén Cikros - Flying Mouse

I was thinking what could I write about this photo, besides the obvious things. Imagine what the chances are to capture such a moment, the way the photographer has. You can tell humans to pose, some animals are also trainable, you can tell your dog to sit or to do some tricks while you take a photo, but a bird will never go catch a mouse and throw it up in the air, just for you to take a photo. These are moments of life bird photographers are waiting for and some may never get it.

I know I will never take such a photo as I'm lacking the patience needed to observe birds. I would never be able to spend hours or days waiting for the perfect opportunity. That's just not me.

I hope you have a favorite among these photos. Let me know in a comment.

Wow the one of the bird and the one of the horse are two of my favorites, I am a lover of photography and from time to time I like to take pictures of everything that catches my attention, I have never had a professional camera but I hope someday I can have one and take pictures with better quality. Within photography there are so many stories that we can observe through them that remain as a memory of moments lived and some quite memorable. Thanks for sharing, best regards ☺️

You are right about that, I couldn't have said better. And no worries, you will have your professional camera. If you want it, you will have it.

:)

I have to go with the Flying Mouse as my favorite. Like you said chances of getting it. Pretty cool 😎

Nice pick! It's an amazing photo and lucky are those who can capture such beauty. Not many thought 🙂

Great photos indeed, I think my favourite is the first one, it's very inviting, I imagine I would enjoy walking along that road. xx

That road is inviting for sure. It has that effect on people.

I am deeply moved by Zsigmond Bálint's photograph, “The Apple Doesn't Fall Far from the Tree”. The connection between mother and daughter, dressed in traditional Hungarian costumes, conveys a sense of tradition and cultural rootedness that I find simply beautiful. And the use of the mirror to offer an additional perspective is a masterful touch. Each of these photographs is a true work of art, demonstrating the skill, dedication and vision of these talented Hungarian photographers. 👋

Indeed, these photographers are top class and truly talented, as the photos show us.

The shots are amazing but my favourite is the third one, it's quite colorful.

Folk costumes can be colorful for sure.

I love the photo by Alpár Czire - Every Path Leads To The Same Road. It seems it should have a poem or short story accompanying it. So much in that photo 🙂

It seems it should have a poem or short story accompanying it.

This is not a bad idea at all. Indeed, the photo has a lotto tell. It's a good one.

Hi there! My favorite is the woman and the horse. You can tell there is a special bond. It reminds me of my daughter-in-law and her horse that died not long ago.

Hi Joe, long time no see, but I'm glad you're here.

It reminds me of my daughter-in-law and her horse that died not long ago.

In that case the photo means much more to you. It's a wonderful one with a lot to tell, even without words.

Yeah, I am back and taking it slow and steady.

The picture through the fire is hella insane and impressive at the same time! Hats off to people making this possible for the eyes who would never meet such circumstances other than at an exhibition.

That is a very good one and made me think of why I missed to take such a photo two weeks ago, when there was a fire available. It wasn't of such size, but still. I think it would have been a good opportunity to experiment and take some good photos. But maybe next time

All of them are very catchy 💯.
The one that caught my attention the most is the one with someone walking in the fire. That's classic 👌

You're the second one to like that, it's a good one.

the images you shared are simply amazing. For me, the picture of birds eating is very beautiful ❤

That is a very rare scene, not many can capture such photos.

Awwww.... "Unconditional Love"... A photo full of magic!!!! And in black and white it is a dream!... Thanks for sharing dear @erikah friend!
