Burj Khalifa - Dubai

in Photography Lovers16 hours ago (edited)

Dubai is an amazing city.
A city that surprises you, that electrifies you, that shows off an exaggerated grace.

Here I was on Burj Khalifa, the tallest skyscraper in the world.
Under, a mix of traffic, rings of roads and colors:

Approaching this palace gave me a sense of astonishment:

Tourists can go up to 'only' half of the palace, that is almost 830 meters high.

Here some views:

To make some different shots, I tried to zoom using a relative long time exposure...

...and also I shook camera:

Above us, we see the second higher part of Burj Khalifa: it seemed an huge missile pointing to the sky:

Here the view from another window:

Another technique to have fun: I set my camera in burst mode with a time like 1/10 or 1/6 sec, and I rotate camera (taking camera on hand), and this is the surrealistic and hypnotic result:

Again, a zoom effects with a long exposure time, with different focals:

It seems not from this world and this time, like an alien building, or maybe the Tower of Babel:

People come here from every places in the world: western people to visit, people from the east mainly to work. Many languages and cultures. A lot of security.
Despite of its beauty, this city has no story, no soul.

It has built in relative recent time. Here there was only a desert. Now palaces, lights and water.
This is a fountain big as a lake:

It shows us how mankind has the power to control the environment, but is it really true, or only a wonderful fiction, only a display of our arrogance?

Pictures taken with Sony Alpha 7iii (24-70 F2.8) and Nikon D800.
Dubai, UAE.
