In a world like today's, it is counter-current to opt for simplicity, because it seems that everything is oriented towards ostentation, artifice and complication. However, I think it is the best alternative of life and worldview that we can assume. I would even say that it would be a key option to diminish the hard problems that humanity suffers in these times.
I have taken simplicity as my way of life for a long time. I have come to this conviction and attitude, fundamentally, by observing nature. In its plain and immediate presence, it teaches us that existence is mobile and, at the same time, permanent, that we are part of a cosmos to which we owe respect and gratitude, that we are ephemeral, but, in some way, spiritually transcendent. One of the natural fields that have influenced me the most, among others, has been the sea (I belong to a geographical area where it is very present). I have taken many photos of it at different times and places; share just three of them.
