I have known this song for many years now. I don't even remember how I found it, but I used to have it on repeat. Deal Lewis is one of my favourite singers.

Reading through this post of mine, it reminds me of how bitter-sweet love can be. It's a complex plane of reality.

Just like you, also, I used to be daring and free spirited. Now, I am more mellow and cautious of every step I take. I think it stems from bitter experiences from the mistakes we've made in the past. One may have been a little too carefree, in love maybe, and then lost the person that they truly love because of it. And then you just learn to be a little more careful, and that stretches into other parts of our lives. I don't know what to say about how to deal with it, but know that I understand.
