Welcome to this week’s edition of music and lyrics I am actually super excited to do this. It was totally unplanned, and it was the first time I did this that I knew it was something I would love to continue. The song I want to talk about today is quite popular, and I have personally not seen anybody who doesn’t like it. For me, this song is one of my all-time favorite songs ever! There was a time I put it on repeat so much that it rubbed off on the people around me; they started singing along without even knowing the person singing.
I also had it as my ringtone for a very long time, I think all I have said will make you realize how much I love it. I can sing it from the beginning to the very end without looking at the lyrics, but then, that is exactly what we are about to talk about—the lyrics.
Do you all agree with me that this song is literally perfect for hopeless romantics? Those who believe that love is the greatest feeling of all believe that a person is a match made in heaven. Those who believe in soulmates and all those kinds of love stories that happen in movies and novels. Love is really beautiful, and this song reflects that so much. You know when you look at the other person and you are so convinced that that’s the person meant for you. Their presence feels like home, and there are a thousand beautiful feelings you can’t explain when you are with them. You are just so happy to have them around.
Imagine you met that kind of person; wouldn’t you also make a wish in a field of dandelions to make them yours? Did I say a wish? Sorry, I meant a thousand! And it’s all just one thing—to have that person be yours. Did you ever wonder why Ruth B was making a wish in a field filled with dandelions and not when she saw a shooting star? Or when she wanted to blow out the candles on her birthday cake?
So, here is a fun fact…(Please make it fun, and that will be by not knowing before now. If you do, I could cry).

Apparently, dandelions are believed to help people grant their wishes and some even believe that it can even help you know if you are loved. Of course, it’s a superstition and no one actually knows if it is true or not (I’d take a chance and make a wish if I see one though, lol). This song is very beautiful and lyrically rich; you should totally check it out. Ruth B is so beautiful too, oh my God! And yes, she has other beautiful songs; I’ll recommend mixed signals and lost boy for now.
Thank you so much for reading❤️
