Do you love reading a motivational quote?
Why do you read it? Do you need it to encourage you to do more at work, to stop procrastinating, to inspire you to take the challenge, or do you just want to add to your list of goals?
For me, it's one of the things I need each day to be energized. Sometimes when I read one that reflected on me - it's like I wrote that quote, but just came from great minds.
But whatever it is, motivational quotes do their job. That's to motivate us.
Quote of the day
One quote that inspires me today is this. 👆 It says that if we make an effort to make others happy, it will always bounce back to us. We'll also be happy. It's like a mirror and a light, it always bounces back. So if you want to be happy today, think of a way to make your husband, child, friends, etc. happy. In that way, both of you will benefit from that effort: the giver and the receiver.
On a scientific basis, it explains that whenever we give we activate the happy hormones that we have - like dopamine. It spikes whenever we do activities that we find enjoyable.
Not only that, whenever we give to others and make them happy, the connection that we have with them will surely improve. Especially, when we do it to make them feel valued and appreciated. Remember, giving is not always through gifts, sometimes others value your time or presence more than the things you give to them.
Additionally, this quote teaches us not to focus on our problems. Instead, we're minding others' needs and wants.
So this quote teaches us, that giving joy to others can help us improve our mood, relationships, and well-being. So whenever we have the opportunity to make others happy, don't hesitate to give it to them. It's either a small effort of massaging your husband, or a big volunteer like cleaning your parent's house. Always remember Eleanor Roosevelt's words, and consider the happiness you can get by making others happy.
