Roman amphitheater in the city of Mérida Spain

Hello photo and travel lovers,

How is your weekend going?

This is the Roman amphitheater of the city of Mérida Spain. It was built between 25 BC and 15 AD and it looks stunning. This is one of the biggest theaters that I have visited and I was really impressed.

I had a bottle of water with me and I poord some of it on th eground to make a nice puddel reflection. Did not really worked but okay.

Those marble pillars looked amazing. So interesting to think about how they have made those back in the days.

I am not sure if all those pillars are originals. Most of them probably were restored ore build new. These once looked very new to me.

The city gives a nice contrast between old and new. So cool that if you life there, you could see this every day. Amazing that you have this old of a building in your view.

And further in the park I did found some puddles that were big enough to get some nice reflection shots.

Funny was that later when I walked away, I saw this dude also on his knees trying to make pictures in the puddle. It's nice to inspire people.

Lovely dark clouds above the theater.

Amazing the roman theatre you have visited, here in Malaga city there is one but it is not so big and I was amazed to see it. Your photographs are excellent and you can always inspire someone to do what you did, as the photographs with the reflections are wonderful.

It is true, many of us, including myself, wonder how in that distant time they made such wonders, with what machinery and tools, it is often a mystery. And as for your question, it would be great to have a view like that every day from the place where I live. Thank you for bringing us such a spectacular mix of history, architecture and art. Best regards!
