Going through my photo gallery I found some photos that I had not shared, it is a walk that I took in Las Palomas during the last Christmas season. This walk helped me to clear my mind and although it seems a little far away, it seems like yesterday to me. Time goes by very fast, especially when facing responsibilities.
I like to walk because it allows me to reflect when everyday life tries to overwhelm me. I remember that afternoon, as I was walking towards the Santa Catalina urbanization, I found a mural that I had not seen before and I thought it was worth mentioning because of its proposal, since it was far from graffiti.
The artist made a reproduction of the intersection located at the corner of La Granja, which connects Avenida de Las Palomas with Avenida Humbold. The buildings that can be seen there are part of Santa Catalina. The emphasis on replicating the colors of nature, typical of the context, is noticeable. Various shades of blue draw the sky, accompanied by green for the trees.
Although the artist captured the landscape and was detailed in several aspects, it is obvious that there is no dynamism in the image, except for silhouettes of children playing soccer in a field. This road is usually very busy throughout the day because it connects the passenger terminal with the center of the city and, at this particular point, there is also a lot of traffic because the market is reached through Humbold Avenue.
I admit that I was pleased because it is evident that the artist took great care in painting a mural of such magnitude, with the investment of time and resources that must be made, paying attention to every detail. Landscape painting was reborn in the city with this painting and you can see that the author has academic training because the proportions are balanced and, in addition, presents an adequate transition of colors.

Los edificios que allí se observan forman parte de Santa Catalina. Se nota el énfasis en replicar los colores de la naturaleza, propios del contexto. Varios tonos de azules dibujan el cielo, acompañados con un verde para los árboles.
Si bien el artista captó el paisaje y fue detallista en varios aspectos, salta a la vista que no se advierte dinamismo en la imagen, salvó siluetas de niños jugando al fútbol en un terreno. Esta vía suele ser muy transitada durante todo el día porque comunica el terminal de pasajeros con el centro de la ciudad y, en este punto en particular, también se presenta mucho tráfico porque se llega al mercado a través de la Avenida Humbold.
Admito que me agradó porque se nota que el artista se esmeró en pintar un mural de tal magnitud, con la inversión de tiempo y recursos que se debe realizar, fijándose en cada detalle. El paisajismo renació en la ciudad con esta pintura y se nota que el autor posee formación académica porque las proporciones están equilibradas y, además, presenta una adecuada transición de colores.
