El día de ayer me tocaba dar clases de pintura en la otra sede de la academia, pero antes tenía pensado asistir a una feria del libro que se iba a llevar a cabo en el centro comercial costa mall.
En la publicidad del evento comentaban que iban a regalar más de 250 libros, cosa que me llamó mucho atención y me moría de ganas de asistir para ver que encontraba de bueno para mi.
Me puse de acuerdo con mi compañera de la academia para que aprovecháramos la concentración de personas para entregar la publicidad del evento que estamos organizando y del cual pronto les voy a comentar todo de él.
También para entregar cartas a los negocios para solicitar su patrocinio y apoyo en nuestro evento.

Yesterday I had to teach painting classes at the other site of the academy, but before that I had planned to attend a book fair that was going to be held at the shopping center costa mall.
In the publicity of the event they said that they were going to give away more than 250 books, something that caught my attention and I was dying to attend to see what was good for me.
I agreed with my colleague from the academy to take advantage of the concentration of people to deliver the publicity of the event we are organizing and of which I will soon tell you all about it.

Mi compañera había mandado a imprimir y también recortó todo lo que serían nuestros volantes de publicidad. Algo pequeño pero llamativo para que las personas conocieran del evento y se animaran a participar.
Al llegar habían muchas personas en el sitio, así que tratamos de ir mesa por mesa a entregar los volantes.
My partner had printed and also cut out everything that would be our publicity flyers. Something small but eye-catching so that people would know about the event and would be encouraged to participate.
When we arrived there were a lot of people on site, so we tried to go table by table to hand out the flyers.
La mayoría de las personas se encontraban atentas a lo que estaba ocurriendo en el escenario que habían puesto en la feria de comidas, pues iban a haber muchas presentaciones, tanto de cantantes como bailes.

A un lado del escenario y entre un gran grupo de personas se encontraba la mesa donde estaban los libros.
La verdad no se cuantos habían pero no parecían ser los más de 250 libros que nos habían ofrecido.
Nos dijeron que no podíamos tomar ninguno de los libros hasta que ellos lo autorizaran, cosa que frustró mucho a todos los presentes porque ni siquiera nos dejaban tomarlos para ver cual era el que nos interesaba.
Al cabo de unos minutos la situación se descontroló y las personas empezaron a tomar los libros y se anotaban en una lista solicitando cada libro pero esto no se respetó y terminaron tomándolos sin anunciarlo.

I don't really know how many there were but they didn't seem to be the more than 250 books they had offered us.
They told us that we could not take any of the books until they authorized it, which frustrated everyone present because they did not even let us take them to see which one we were interested in.
After a few minutes the situation got out of control and people started to take the books and put themselves on a list requesting each book but this was not respected and they ended up taking them without announcing it.
Yo aproveché y tomé 5 libros. Encontré uno buenísimo sobre pintura al óleo, uno de meditación, de la psicología en los niños y la resolución de conflictos, temas súper necesarios ya que ahora trabajo con niños.
Luego les hablaré a detalle de cada uno de ellos. Mi hijo también encontró uno que le servirá para sus clases en la escuela.
I took advantage of the opportunity and took 5 books. I found a very good one on oil painting, one on meditation, psychology in children and conflict resolution, super necessary topics since I now work with children.
I will talk about each of them in detail later. My son also found one that will be useful for his classes at school.
Luego nos sentamos un rato a disfrutar de unos helados, a hablar un poco sobre la planificación del evento y a disfrutar del evento que se estaba llevando a cabo.
Habían unos chicos súper talentosos que tenían un grupo musical y decidimos tomar la iniciativa de invitarlos a participar en nuestro evento. Ellos se vieron súper interesados y emocionados por nuestra propuesta. Así que ya contamos con música 🎵😊
Luego nos sentamos un rato a disfrutar de unos helados, a hablar un poco sobre la planificación del evento y a disfrutar del evento que se estaba llevando a cabo.
Habían unos chicos súper talentosos que tenían un grupo musical y decidimos tomar la iniciativa de invitarlos a participar en nuestro evento. Ellos se vieron súper interesados y emocionados por nuestra propuesta. Así que ya contamos con música 🎵😊
Luego de un rato decidimos caminar por el centro comercial para entregar más volantes, aprovechamos también de visitar el salón de eventos donde estaremos haciendo el evento y viendo los espacios y servicios con los que contaríamos para trabajar ese día.
También dimos una vuelta por las tiendas donde venden licores para consultar el precio de los vinos. Fue un día súper productivo en el que logramos muchas cosas. ♥
After a while we decided to walk around the mall to hand out more flyers, we also took the opportunity to visit the event hall where we will be doing the event and seeing the spaces and services we would have to work with that day.
We also took a walk around the liquor stores to check the price of the wines. It was a super productive day in which we accomplished many things. ♥
