Market Viewr Update & An Open Call for Your Ideas!

in Synergy Buildersyesterday

Hey everyone,

Another quick update to the Market Viewr app today, and this one comes directly from community feedback!

Richer Richlists: Now Showing Staked & Total Balances

Commenters recently asked about including staked balances in the richlist display, and it was a great point. Often, just seeing the liquid balance doesn't give the full picture of a user's holdings in a particular Hive-Engine token.

So, I've updated the richlist view for tokens! Now, alongside the liquid "Balance," you'll also see columns for "Staked" tokens and a "Total" (Balance + Staked). This should provide a much more comprehensive overview of token distribution.

Here’s a look at the updated PIMP token richlist showing the new columns:

Your Ideas Fuel Development!

This brings me to the main thing I wanted to talk about today. This update, like several others and even some of the tools I've built, came about because someone in the community spoke up, made a suggestion, or asked a question.

Honestly, some of my best work and most useful ideas have been sparked directly by your comments and feedback! I genuinely appreciate it when you all share your thoughts.

So, I want to officially say: Please speak up!

  • Do you have an idea for a new tool you think would be helpful for the Hive ecosystem?
  • Is there an existing tool of mine (or anyone else's) that you think could be done better or have a new feature added?
  • Is there just something you'd "like to see done" – a problem you wish had an automated solution, or data you wish was easier to access?

Don't hesitate to share your thoughts in the comments here, on my GitHub repos, or wherever you see me around. While I can't promise to build everything, I'm always listening, and if it's something that piques my interest and seems feasible, it might just happen at some point!

Your input is valuable, and it often helps me see things from a different perspective or prioritize what to work on next.

Thanks for being an awesome and engaged community!

As always,
Michael Garcia a.k.a. TheCrazyGM

I greatly appreciate this Market Viewr tool that I use just about everyday. Thank you very much for the work you do.

Do you have an idea for a new tool you think would be helpful for the Hive ecosystem?

I would like to be able to download a file that contains the spot price/trade for every layer 2 tokens on Hive. The file can be txt or csv. It only needs to contain the date/time, token symbol and the last trade expressed in SWAP.HIVE at the time the request is made.

It does not have to be the last trade for a particular day. It just needs to be a button I click that goes out and collects the data and creates a file to download.

I can come up with some more ideas but for now, this one is of greater value to me and maybe to other Hives as well. Having this data I can create my own flat file or db that I can analyze. There can be variations of the data set collected but I would like the bare minimum as a starting point.

Thanks for the opportunity to share and participate.

That's a great addition. One thing that came to mind around Market Viewer when showing an account's total token holdings is a wondering whether assets in diesel/liquidity pools are included, since they can represent quite large amounts of tokens.

I aways have lots of ideas for useful tools on Hive, or things that I'd like to see. Up to this point my dear coding friend, @borniet, has been implementing some, but he's a very busy bugger, so it can take a while...lol! 😁 🙏 💚 ✨ 🤙

The market-viewr does not account for the LPs, some of my scripts do, so I'm kind of torn on this as it's really two projects under one roof, the market is just that the market view, but without the LP info the richlist isn't as accurate as it could be.

I'll mull on this for a bit, might add it, might not.

Super neat... You really like PIMP? I was trying to build a PeakeCoin follower bot.
