When they discovered fire, they were also afraid. However, that thirst for power and knowledge led them to master it and turn it into the powerful tool it is today.
Technology, artificial intelligence, and other human discoveries are simply tools to help us improve, survive, and achieve supremacy.
Of course, if we use them for good.
How far should the fusion of technology and humanity go?
It's very simple: as far as we need it. As long as it benefits humanity and doesn't go against it.
Why deny limb implants? Why deny the creation, for example, of mechanical or cybernetic organs that can replace our own and thus extend or improve our lives?
History is full of experiments that were feared, rejected, or banned in their early days, and today are pillars of science and technology.
Right now, what people are talking about the most—sometimes with fear, sometimes with enthusiasm and excitement—is artificial intelligence.
How far could we go with it?
Numerous stories have been written, even as far back as the 1960s, about the danger that an artificial intelligence rebelling against humanity could pose. There are even stories where artificial intelligence, in order to save us from ourselves, ends all life on Earth?
However, as I said at the beginning, all artificial intelligence and technological advances are nothing more than tools that we must learn to use, and not fear them simply because we don't know their scope or don't know how to use them.
We are using artificial intelligences from more than 20 years ago, but they were less advanced than today's.
They will never supplant humans. Perhaps one day we will be able to merge with them. Perhaps not. However, perhaps, in doing so, we will move on to the next stage of human evolution.
We'll have to experiment and see. I'm open to the possibility.

Desde el inicio de los tiempos el hombre le ha temido a lo conocido.
Cuando descubrieron el fuego también tuvieron miedo, sin embargo ese ansia de poder y de conocimiento lo llevaron a dominarlo y a convertirlo en la poderosa herramienta que es hoy.
La tecnología, la inteligencia artificial y demás descubrimientos del hombre, son solo herramientas para ayudarnos a nuestra superación, mejoría, supervivencia y supremacía.
Por supuesto si lo utilizamos para el bien.
¿Hasta dónde debería llegar la fusión de la tecnología con el hombre?
Es muy simple: hasta donde lo necesitemos. Siempre y cuando beneficie a la humanidad y no vaya en contra de ella.
¿Por qué negar un implante de extremidades? ¿Por qué negarnos a la creación, por ejemplo, de órganos mecánicos o cibernéticos que puedan reemplazar a los nuestros y de ese modo extender o mejorar nuestras vidas?
La historia está repleta de experimentos que fueron temidos, renegados o prohibidos en sus inicios y hoy en día, son pilares de la ciencia y la técnica.
En estos momentos de lo que más se habla en ocasiones con temor en otras ocasiones con mucho ánimo y emoción es de la inteligencia artificial.
¿Hasta dónde podríamos llegar con ella?
Se han escrito numerosos cuentos, incluso desde dos años 60 del siglo pasado, sobre el peligro que podría representar una inteligencia artificial que se revela contra la humanidad. Incluso, hay historias donde la inteligencia artificial, para salvarnos de nosotros mismos, acaban con la vida en la tierra?
Sin embargo, como decía al inicio, toda inteligencia artificial y avances tecnológico no son más que herramientas que debemos aprender a utilizar y no temerlas sencillamente por desconocer su alcance o no saber utilizarlas.
Estamos utilizando inteligencias artificiales de hace más de 20 años, solo que eran menos avanzadas que las actuales.
Ellas nunca van a suplantar al ser humano. Quizás algún día podamos fusionarnos con ellas. Quizás no. Sin embargo tal vez, al hacerlo, pasemos a una siguiente etapa de la evolución humana.
Habría que experimentar y ver. Estoy abierto a la posibilidad.
