If you knew, just how much I hated this place, you'd be baffled. Once I got past the gates of Salazar's giant castle, I was really in for deep trouble. Like, deep, deep trouble. We went through a garden maze, pull levers, and get inside this mansion house, with this shiny decorum in the hall.
Not everything was hostile or depressing, soon as I found the merchant, he got us into a secret path that leads to a railway back into the castle entrance. That's nice and dandy to backtrack, but even more was the shooting range he had. I swear, even if I was doing so good, I keep hitting the targets wrong somehow. Took my rewards, and moved on to getting out with Ashley.
RE4 by this point proved that I should expect the crazy to ante up continuously, and it did. Every threat is a menace, I even fought a bunch of walking knight suits in a small arena. Also, that guy that created Zealot Plaga poppers, turns out he had a brother.
The maze garden, did I mention there are dogs? Yep, caged dogs, dogs running amok, dogs also hiding in bushes, and the Plaga dogs. Forget sleep, relive shooting abominable canines.
Many thanks to the merchant, one more goodie we got is this fancy rail that takes us back. Also, notice Ashley eyeing on Leon, he's growing on her. Meanwhile he zones out due to Raccoon City PTSD.
Of course, Ashley gets to see more action while I engage in the shooting range. Taking down moving carton figures, scoring much as I can. I swear, the SMG one is obnoxious. Damn thing has too much recoil, and accuracy flies off till I wait a second or two. I am still a goodshot though with the pistol.
And to top it off, bonus round. Lots of colors there. But yeah, I have to get going. I got my rewards, and eventually moved around the castle. There's this Cerberus type statue, which needs 3 heads to open up the pathway in order to get out of the mansion. It gets tricky though.
Dinner for two perhaps? Actually we need to do this in order to solve a puzzle. One of the heads is locked in a cage, and in order to open that, me and Ashley have to sit at the right place and ring our bells.
Ahh, we got separated. Now I am playing as Ashley while the man himself sticks it to the robes. I've heard about this one, and how scary it is considering you have no ways or means to combat the possessed knights coming at me. Seriously though, I don't know what's more anxiety inducing, this or the maze.
