Ok, I know am milking this. But this is the last point of my journey. I have reached far deep this time. But there has been a sacrifice. Out of the 3 talking heads on my radio, one had to risk his life during the storm to get the ARC system while I did a sprint run around the crossing.
This is needed in order to link up all the gates around the place, just to get closer to the Well. The final area of the game. Everything was going well, I had my LIM shield, with that on, I could drive past the boiling grounds. While a bunch of conduits zap, and carry the surge to the other one before finally linking each gate, and opening them up. The drive was insane.
Unfortunately, somewhere in-between, during an intense radiation storm, and anomalies popping out strong, something was blocking the signal quite a bit. And in order to fix that, one of them had to head out. Becoming exposed to the dangers of the zone, and unfortunately losing their life.
That place with the red floating bubbles is back. But now I have the LIM shield needed to proceed.
Oppy has pretty much put me in a stressful position of getting my car ready, with the charging station refilling battery life before I push for the run. With Francis and Tobias doing their best the run going smooth.
After linking Gate 2A, 2B, 2C, there seems to be a huge spike in the radiation. It has gone even past the walls, even reaching near where Tobias and Francis lives. The Circuitry was failing, and Tobias took the risk of trying to repair it. Unfortunately, despite Francis persisting him to come back, he couldn't be saved.
Tobias was gone, Oppy and Francis couldn't do much about it. As for me, I successfully had everything linked. And finally opened the gateway out of there. This was a sad moment, because he was the optimistic one out of the 3. The other 2 being scientists were stuck with newer problems.
Francis lost the person he loved. That part took me by surprise, but this is also where the story opens up more, including about the characters and ARDA funding the LIM projects, while using the town as their guinea pigs. But it was time for me end it. Back to the zone again.

Coming back, I spend time farming here and there. Unfortunately, all throughout the zones, the storms have gotten worse. My vehicle kept taking hits, and I had to repair parts time and time again. Heck, I've even replaced tires that were worn out, and only had to be while I was in the zone.
Ride is tricked out, got a radar that can now find resources anywhere. It makes so many things easier, including finding parts and the gooey stuff that I need.
Swamp Corals, going to vacuum these little purple things. I can make stronger equipment after am done.
Another gate sprint junction, doing the run again. Inside the Barricade, past the last area. This one was tame, no one died, and no toxic surface or chemical spewing going around. A simple run.
This is it. The storms forming around means the area is doing whatever it can to stop me. This is being seeing back in my garage. Can do so much making changes to the signal of the most unstable junctions. I have come so far, 30hrs into the game. Really pushed my sanity to the limit.
