You know, there's a Pokémon knock-off and for some reason they can equip guns. I got around to play it, and I couldn't stop myself somehow. Funny enough, it borrows concepts from multiple games and instead ends up being better.
But here's a couple of shots, I couldn't do a photo-mode since it doesn't have it yet. This was not GPU friendly, it was eating up a lot, and my HRR monitor was having a difficult time keeping frames in sync. It's also early access. But man, I had a fun time and am only getting started. I will be playing co-op afterward.
Well, what you see is what you get kind of. The character creation is a bit anemic, kind of down to basic "doll accessorizing" level of choices. But, am cool with it. There's no jiggle physics if that's what you're asking.
So starting the game, I picked my first fight with a Pal, and he klunked me hard. Level 38 vs 1, not even a chance, but I wanted to come back at him. So started learning how to play the game, farming other low level pals, building base, and creating weapons. I am not close, but this is me on top of a mountain near a summon site. Amazing how the view looks, like it's saying my ambitions has the potential to go far.
Ah yes, my favourite chum, Cattiva. He helped me build equipment, buildings, put some muscle on the pals for me to capture them, and was with me for the majority of my playthrough. Will never forget you buddy, you're one of a kind, truly are.
Starting the game, the human NPCs would share horror stories about how people they were with were killed, eaten, or worse, blown away to smithereens by a 12-foot tall pal. People are trying to figure out how to conquer this new world, and turns out we're not alone either.
Shady corporate beings with high grade weaponry, and access to so many resources are behind all this. Maybe, or there's something else going on. I didn't get close enough to figure out, I was busy setting up camp, creating a labor force with my captured pals, who don't mind. In fact, I threw away the rugged clothes and put in fashionable ones.
Also, there's a weather system where if I don't wear the new clothes, I could freeze to death at night. The climate varies based on different levels. Derived from Legend of Zelda: BotW, but pal attacks can also affect body temperature too.
My base is built, my workers are set. Cutting trees, mining stone, and farming for food. It goes a lot further from sticks and stones to arrows, to hopefully me teasing a grenade and my other pal pulling up that machine gun or shoulder missile launcher.
We meet again Mammorest, I have gained strength, and my pals are looking forward to pummelling you down this time. Fight will be very legendary indeed. Vengeance will be mine.
