Back for more, I've driven myself further and now in the belly of the beast, for real, the fun gets going in the remake after the 6th hour. Baby Eagle needs to strap on, because we really ain't in Kansas no more. Time to bring out the big guns, and headshot hood wearing cultists.
I made a small criticism about the game being a bit familiar, and how it slightly felt repetitive at first, no, things went up from here. Like, the fun doesn't stop. I managed to come halfway through the game, and I have to admit, I am sweating to my knees dodging attacks and rationing against onslaughts of them coming at me in Salazar's manor. There are some insidious stuff here.
That being said, couple of photo mode shots here might be discernable, because somehow my visual settings got reset from the last time I played. Like everything is this descent to madness, after Village and RE7, Capcom has stepped up on the horror stuff, big time.
After fending off our attackers with Luis, me and Ashley had to pass through the village, while they're on the lookout. There was a battle with two ladies with chainsaws, it was crazy. But nothing bonkers as this chase, with the village chief, Mendez behind us.
Mendez decided to reach his final form, and a showdown in a warehouse engulfing in flames, while his roach tentacles flaying everywhere. Wanted to use the rocket launcher, but no it's saved up for next battle.
Salazar's castle, a bit far in the distance and had many watchful eyes. Was pretty tricky getting in.
Things stepped up hard with Ashley. Also, she's a bit of a dolt, doesn't follow when to take cover, easily gets captured, and one time I accidentally killed her because she wouldn't get out of the way. Yeah, they didn't improve her A.I. compared to the original.
Called The Animal, he couldn't see, but there were chains dangling around places, so I had to move carefully. Only way to get out however, was to kill him by shooting at his weak spot.
The battle into the castle was stupendously hard. We had to fight past a mob of these rob wearing cultists, next they start shooting cannon balls at us. I just had shoot a couple of barrels to take them out. It was a goofy and fun experience. I lost a lot of ammo as well. After getting in, Salazar himself was introduced.
These guys truly have a deathwish, they keep coming at me. Like, nonstop. Think I killed two dozens so far.
The final push to get Ashley out of the castle grounds, but we're just getting started. This is where she had to hop up, and pull the cranks that would draw the bridge to cross ahead. Of course, those guys are after her too, so Leon from a distance provided support.
Alright, being in the clear, yet when we were so close. Ashley got possessed because of the virus inside her. She took Leon's knife and started acting hostile. Ashley woke up and ran away, this is where our paths diverted, only for a bit.
I think I know where this part is going to go, I saw sections of her going alone. Already getting true horror vibes just being in the castle alone. Imagine just having to run around, with no ways to fend off the castle's inhabitants. Wherever they are.
I have no comments, this part of the game looks twisted as hell. I almost thought they were alive.
Hate this guy, he basically blast the surface with his staff, and everybody's heads pop off and those tentacle things are swashing at me while am running around barrels, and crowd controlling much as possible. I popped a couple of magnum rounds into his head and boom, he went down.
Ok, I came across the creepy crawlies that also possess the hosts through the spine and charges at me. Now I have to deal with giant trolls again? This is pure madness. I am losing my mind.
