Greetings everyone!
Today I decided to write in the Street Art group for the first time and take part in the SSS 201 contest. After all, I like to travel and in every city I find interesting painted houses. These can be paintings depicting the life of the townspeople or abstract drawings. Each painting has its own theme and attracts my attention. Some walls are so beautiful that they are remembered for a long time.
A month ago, my children came to visit me and we went on an excursion to Caorle together. This beautiful little town is located on the shores of the Adriatic Sea. The city has a long history and ancient past. After all, the first mentions of Caorle were found in chronicles as far back as the 11th century.
Caorle has a lot to see and admire! Narrow streets where barely two people can walk. Many cafes and bars invite you to eat a specialty fish dish and drink coffee or cappuccino. St. Stephen's Cathedral Church with its 11th century leaning bell tower attracts tourists from all over the world. Also, the Church of the Holy Angel, which is built almost above the sea, has an interesting history and is worth paying attention to. The embankment with breakwaters made of huge marble stones on which world and Italian artists carved various sculptures will not leave anyone indifferent. And the sea, which does not stop breathing day or night. Caorle is an open-air museum city.
And I couldn't help but see the murals on the walls of the houses. They are big, it is impossible not to replace them.
Colorful drawings decorate the city.
A big gray cat climbed out of the window and wants to get something with his paw... maybe a fish for dinner!
Graffiti has been known since prehistoric times. Even ancient people decorated their cave homes with pictures from life. The famous inscriptions on the ancient walls of the temples of the Mayan peoples have survived to this day. Scientists decipher these inscriptions and tell us about the life of this ancient civilization. In our time, graffiti has become a type of street art that carries a social, educational or political character to the masses. Murals, paintings on the huge walls of buildings are especially noted for this. The inscriptions on the walls, resembling hieroglyphs, are a kind of encrypted correspondence of the authors, messages. Once a hammer and a hammer were needed for work, but now graffiti writers use cans of acrylic paints.
Thanks to everyone who stopped by to read my post and view the photos.
