Following all the doctrines of Jesus Christ is what makes us the disciples of Jesus Christ. We are just called disciples for the namesake. We are his followers. As his followers, we are those who must follow all his doctrines. Going to church or belonging to a church does not make us His disciples. The name, disciple refers to someone who follows the teachings of a master. If we are the disciples of Jesus Christ, let us follow His commandments.
The doctrines of Jesus Christ teaches us to make disciples of all nation. That is the great commission. We are to evangelize the entire world. We are to teach people to shun the vain religions of the world and accept the teachings of Jesus Christ. That is a teaching which we must follow as the disciples of Jesus Christ.
As the disciples of Jesus Christ, we are to do good to all men. The Lord Jesus Christ teaches us to help those who are in need. His doctrines says we should visit the fatherless and the widows in their afflictions. We are taught to do good to all men, especially those who are of the household of faith. These are some of the teachings which we must obey as his disciples.
