We learnt that after death, there shall come judgement. We will be judged because God has given us the power to choose what we do with our lives. No one would have been judged if God had been the one controlling our affairs. If we were like robots there wouldn't be any need for judgement. That is why devices won't come under judgement. They do not have the power over their actions. They are simply obeying instructions.
There is wisdom if a man would allow God to decide his fate. When someone submits himself to the purpose of God, such a person would be able to fulfill his purpose for life. Why this is important is that we are the creatures of God. As his creatures, he determines what we will do while here on earth. So, it is good that we submit ourselves to be guided by God.
The way we can allow God to control our fate is by following the commandments of God. We must follow the teachings and instructions of God. When we do that, God will be leading our affairs.
