When someone embarks on a journey, he will stay focused and won't allow any distractions if he wants to reach his destination. In the same way, we must remain focused on our journey to heaven. We do know that our Lord Jesus Christ has promised us a home in his Father's kingdom. So, those of us who are waiting to see the return of our Lord must live in such a way that we shall be accepted at his return.
The Bible warns us against indulging in sinful activities. We are called unto holiness. We are to live holy so that God will be pleased with us. Sin separates us from God. Sin is the only thing that would deny us access to the kingdom which we are so much expecting. Let us learn to live in obedience to the Word of God. Let us obey the commandments of God. As children of God, let us run away from every appearance of evil.
