Obedience to the commandments of God is not optional to those who are his disciples. Others might play down on the commandments of God, but for someone who believes in Jesus and is willing to follow the doctrines of God, he must follow the commandments of God wholly.
There are many people who claim that they are members of the church. They carry the identity of the church but in their hidden hearts they are mindful of what pleases their flesh more than what pleases God. Such people are not the true disciples of Jesus Christ. True disciples are those who obey all the teachings of the Lord Jesus Christ.
Matthew 28:19-20 (KJV) Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:
Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.
