Religion is the belief and worship of the supreme being or gods snd on the other hand, salvation is the condition of being saved from sin, believed to come about by faith in Christ. Religion is needed for it. Faith and belief Christ is what Christianity is all about and Christianity is a religion.
Therefore religion is needed for salvation. I don't know of other religions but common sense shows that for one to be saved by what one believes and has faith in, religion comes in because faith and belief are the products of religion.
