Faith doesn't mean that we are not going to face storms in life. As a matter of fact, we are definitely going to face storms, whether we like it or not. Why we come to God and surrender to Him is not for Him to prevent storms from coming towards us, why we come to Him is so that he will be there to guide us and see that we overcome.
Jesus told his disciples before he left that they are definitely going to face tribulations. But He assured them that He had overcome on their behalf. When Jesus encountered a storm when He was in the boat with His disciples they were shocked that just by His voice the storm was calm. They said to one another what manner of man is this that even the storm obeys His voice. That is to show you how strong the power of God is.
No matter anything we face, our defense, what we use in fighting back is the word of God. That's why the Bible said our weapons of warfare are not canal. We don't use canal elements when warring with certain situations that are beyond our power. We use a more reliable power, the power that comes from God.
As Christians our worries should not be how to avoid problems but rather our concern should be how to face them and overcome them squarely whenever they come. Christians don't run from battles we face them, it is a sign and a clear evidence that God is on our side no matter what life throws at those
