Worshipping God entails giving our heart of service and reference unto Him. We worship Him for who he is. We give Him glory and praise His name. We lift Him up above all others. We adore Him and give Him all the glory. We praise and exalt Him because He is the God of heaven and the earth. Besides our God there is none other. Our God deserves all the glory and all the praises. He is God.
Praising God and worship should be offered with a true heart. We are the true worshippers. As true worshippers, we worship the Father in spirit and in truth. True worship commits their spirit into the worship. They communicate with God in spirit. They do not relate with God through their worship and praises carnally. Worshipping God in the spirit means that we look beyond the physical and natural realms and connect with God in the spirit realms. Through the spirit we will see the goodness of God. Through the spirit we will acknowledge the greatness of God.
When we worship our God, we are offering our bodies unto Him as a true sacrifice. This sacrifice must be acceptable unto God. We should not offer what God will not accept. We should not offer what will be offensive unto God. Our sacrifice must be acceptable unto God. An acceptable sacrifice is a holy sacrifice. That is why the Bible says that our sacrifice should be holy and acceptable unto God. This is why we should live holy and refrain from sin.
