As we have been taught, we also have to be taught to observe. We need to observe those things which we have learned and that will be a lifetime career. It is not proper to count how many times we need to study the word of God. Everyday of our lives, we have to remain in the word of God.
Remaining in the word of God also means that we should keep acting based on the word of God that we have learned and we should put them to use in our daily lives. We have to continue in the word of God.
In John 8:31, the Bible says; Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed in Him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed.
Reading the word of God is never enough. There is no point reading the word of God when you know that you won’t put it to use. Practice makes perfect and the more we make use of the word of God, the more we keep deeping into his words, thoughts and actions.
And the more we continue in the word of God, the more God will teach you more of his ways. God will surely help those who help themselves and if you truly want to know more of his ways, you have to put all that you have read in the Bible into practice.
Well, there is no amount of times that you should read the Bible and I don’t think it’s reasonable to set time table to reading the Bible.
You can decide to check the Bible when situations occur and checking the Bible will help to shed more light into the situation.
The Bible should be part of our everyday lives and as long as we are alive, God gives us the opportunity to learn more of His ways everyday.
