Does God Allow Polygamy? || MCGI Topic Review.

Polygamy is now something practiced by so many people in today’s world especially men and if you ask them why they do it, the majority of them will tell you that it is normal for men to cheat? Who does that? Did God ever write it somewhere in the Bible that men can cheat? Unfortunately, some of these men say that they are following the footstep of King Solomon in the Bible.
Let’s hear what Brother Eli has to say about that.

Let’s take a look at the story of King Solomon in the Bible. He was punished by God but unfortunately, a lot of people never get to talk about the part where King Solomon got punished by God. He eventually got hated by God. It’s very sad to be hated by God.

From the story of David too, he practiced polygamy and God punished him. That was when his child died just as a result of his fornication.
This is one of the ways to let us know that God is never in support of polygamy and he doesn’t want us to do it. The fact that they were Kings does not mean they should marry more wives and that’s why there are so many Kings today who cannot maintain one wife.

In Deuteronomy 30:19, the Bible says; I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing; therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live.

Here, God is not forcing us to do anything but simply telling us that we have the right to choose but whatever happens afterwards is as a result of the things or our previous actions.
So if you feel you want to practice polygamy, it’s fine but God will as well take actions.

Peace be unto us all.
