Happy First Sunday of October everyone and trust we had a great day before God today.
This is actually one of the topics I love talking about when it comes to our relationship with God and our responsibilities.
We might have our personal close, intimate and cordial relationship with God but still, we fail in carrying out our own responsibilities in making that relationship yield great and amazing fruits and then we keep on complaining to his ears or even start to put it to him all we've done to ever please him and served no other master.
Even the scripture establishes it that faith without work is Dead. Without work in this context doesn't even necessarily mean a Christian who doesn't have anything doing as a work but the fact that you prayed and believe the rest is left to God to sort it. No, we also have responsibilities to take some actions of faith in actualizing what we asked for.
God has answered some prayers of like 2-3years ago and we still keep asking same prayer request because we're yet to see the answers which is caused by us not taking actions.
For instance, you asked and prayed so hard to God to provide what you want to eat because there's no financial hope of sorting it and then someone came knocking bringing raw foodstuffs and another one brought an already cooked delicious food to you.
Then you gathered everything on your table, making them stare at you directly in the eyes, you opened your mouth in faith and started calling upon God again saying or even shouting Yes Lord! You've done it! Oya put the cooked food in my mouth. Feed me! The raw foodstuffs, help me cook and prepare it deliciously Lord Jesus.
You know, such prayer won't get an answer and God would just merely look at such a person as a foolish being.
We must act after praying as those are our steps of faith not waiting for God to do it all. So YES, prayer is not enough to get close to God because action speaks louder than voice. Seek and Find came after the ASK in Matthew 7:7 so let's not build a deadlock relationship with our father.
