Stewed corn on the cob

Yo it's the corn season again this side and many corns are being harvested.
I really missed out on corn last year, we didn't plant any and I also couldn't buy any. So this year I'm changing that story...So I'm going to be making different corn recipes and I hope you like each one of them.
So for today we have stewed corn on the cob and I'm super excited to share with you how I made it and I'm very certain you'd love it!

So this only requires a few ingredients which I'll be listing below:

Ingredients

  • Two corn on the cob
  • 4 Chili peppers
  • 1 onions bulb
  • 4 fresh tomatoes
  • 3/4 cooking spoon vegetable oil
  • Scent leaves to taste

Procedure

  • Put water to heat in the pan enough to let the corn boil. Then add the corn in it to boil and soften
  • Next chop the onions, tomatoes and pepper into smaller pieces

Next we go ahead to blend them properly, I used mortar and pestle to pound mine and I properly pounded the three of them into paste

Next I check if the corn is soft enough and get them out

While that is done, I put the pot to heat, add the vegetable oil and the tomato paste to it

I then add salt, quickly chop the scent leave and after the sauce is well sauteed I add the leaves to it and stir

Next I add the corn to the sauce and make sure it coats properly in it by stirring and I'm glad it turned out nice as expected

Below you can see how nice it looked, and it really tasted as much as that, so yummy.

Ok this is my first time trying corn like this and it was absolutely worth the try. The most traditional ways we eat corn here is to boil it white or roast it and eat with coconut which I'll be sharing someday but I'm so happy to have switched things up a bit and gotten a really nice outcome. I love how really spicy I made it, and the corn was really fresh which made everything taste really nice.

I have more corn recipes to share in subsequent food posts so please stay tuned. And thank you all so much for your time here, I'll see you next time!
