The Empty Stop and Its Shadow
Right at the exit of my workplace, there is a bus stop. Not for me, but for the panoramic bus that takes tourists around Varadero. It is usually a point of movement, of arrivals and departures, but these days it feels different.
What caught my attention this time was not the stop itself, but the shadow it projected. The morning sun, still low and inclined, stretched its shape across the ground, creating a long and defined silhouette.
The place was empty. There were no tourists waiting, no movement, just the structure and its shadow. Even though the bus still passes from time to time, serving the few hotels that remain open, the absence is noticeable. The shadow, however, remains, marking the presence of something that is not being used as it once was.
The photos were taken with my mobile phone, and for the English version I used Google Translate.

Hola, amigos de la comunidad #ShadowHunters, gracias a la amiga @melinda010100 por convocarnos a esta iniciativa en su Shadow Hunters SMASh Contest – Round 424.
La parada vacía y su sombra
A la salida de mi trabajo hay una parada de autobús, aunque no es para mí. Es la parada donde el ómnibus panorámico recoge a los turistas para recorrer Varadero. Normalmente es un lugar de movimiento, de llegadas y salidas, pero por estos días se siente diferente.
Lo que llamó mi atención esta vez no fue la parada en sí, sino la sombra que proyectaba. El sol de la mañana, aún bajo e inclinado, alargaba su forma sobre el suelo, creando una silueta extensa y bien definida.
El lugar estaba vacío. No había turistas esperando, no había movimiento, solo la estructura y su sombra. Aunque el ómnibus sigue pasando de vez en cuando, atendiendo a los pocos hoteles que permanecen abiertos, la ausencia se nota. La sombra, sin embargo, permanece, marcando la presencia de algo que ya no se utiliza como antes.
Las fotos fueron tomadas con el móvil y para la versión en inglés utilicé el traductor de Google.
