Hello lovers of shadow language!!!!
This is a new round to dialogue with the projection of bodies and objects. For the occasion I am proposing a simple photograph, captured on one of the tours I took with my young children through areas of historical interest in my town.
While photographing buildings, Eileen Lucia made a gesture that I captured casually and then surprised me by including a beautiful shadow. So I didn't hesitate to share it with her. I have no idea what she was trying to show me. The truth is that the first impression upon seeing the image is that the shadow is the one pointing to some point for us to look at. I found it peculiarly expressive, precisely because of the potential it brings to his speech as a character with a life of its own.
The association was immediate, it cannot help but remind me again of Peter Pan and his lost shadow, hence the title for the photograph includes the mention of Neverland as that place of possible dreams that shelters the imagination. I wanted to pretend that my daughter's shadow was pointing to Neverland, an analogy to the inner child and its real existence, a reminder of our contact with the world as children and how much fascination any discovery implies at early ages of life.
I hope you can find values in this image that will allow you to meet your inner child from the shadows.

Hola amantes del lenguaje de la sombra!!!
Esta es una nueva ronda para dialogar con la proyección de los cuerpos y objetos. Para la ocasión estoy proponiendo una fotografía simple, captada en uno de los recorridos que hice con mis pequeños hijos por zonas de interés histórico de mi pueblo.
Mientras fotografiaba edificios, Eileen Lucía hizo un gesto que capturé casualmente y que luego me sorprendió por incluir una hermosa sombra. Así que no dudé en compartírselas. No tengo idea de que intentaba mostrarme. Lo cierto es que la primera impresión al ver la imagen es la de que la sombra es quien señala a algún punto para que miremos. Me resultó peculiarmente expresiva, precisamente por ese potencial que aporta en su discurso como un personaje con vida propia.
La asociación fue inmediata, no puede evitar recordar nuevamente a Peter Pan y su sombra perdida, de ahí que el título para la fotografía incluya la mención de Neverland como ese lugar de sueños posibles que refugia la imaginación. Quise pretender que la sombra de mi hija apuntaba a Neverland, una analogía con el niño interior y su existencia real, un recordatorio de nuestro contacto con el mundo cuando éramos niños y cuanta fascinación implica cualquier descubrimiento a tempranas edades de la vida.
Espero que puedan encontrar valores en esta imagen que les permitan reencontrarse con su niño interior desde la sombra.
