There is this small, quiet stream I often visit whenever I want to reminisce or find peace especially when the stress of life gets tough. Nestled just outside the edge of my estate, it winds through a patch of tall grasses and scattered trees, far from the noise that comes with our daily life. The path leading to it is quiet with partly overgrown grasses around, some natives live close to the stream , it seems to be their source of water. They are very friendly people, they don't bother anyone as long as you are not disturbing the Peace of the water.
Whenever I arrive at the stream, I feel a sense of calm wash over me. The sound of the water, gently flowing over smooth tiny rocks, It’s not loud or boastful , it simply whispers. In your quiet moment, it is one of the most peaceful sounds to come by.
The trees lean over it like old guardians, their leaves dancing softly with the wind. I often sit on a flat rock by the edge, dipping my fingers into the stream, tracing the water’s movement and thinking about how time flows the same way, gentle, but steady. God is thoroughly in nature if we pay close attention.
Even now, whenever I need to reconnect with myself, I find my way back. The stream is always there, quiet and welcoming, like an old friend that never forget, like a priest that never as question, it just allows you the moment.
