Finding strength and support from the Hive Community 💕💕💕
I noticed that majority of the posts about the Typhoon Aftermaths were filled with support and encouraging messages, I'm so grateful for this community and so I was inspired to share our daily, usual life and how we survive from our new reality

Hello My Dear Hive Community, greetings from the Philippines.
After the Typhoon Kalmagei and Fu Wong, people have grown accustomed to the daily life of having no electricity, no internet, and people are getting by, of course, not quite well, but with the hope that, the next day, power will be fully restored, and we can finally go back to our normal lives and as we await patiently, we have learnt to navigate life, temporarily, without it.

We are back to our usual routine of going to the mall in the morning to charge our phones, emergency lamps, electric fans as the weather is back to being humid, you have to line up really really early, as there are still many areas without power.

This is what our situation looks like, you have to bring your own extension cord, they don't allow octopus lines (extension wire connected to another extension wire)so strictly, only "one" extension wire per socket. I and my father are taking turns, sometimes to walk around and do some stretching, and going to the toilet, while I was walking back, I saw a mascot of Cinnamon Roll, look how cute is that?

Children were delighted to see him, it lightens up the dull mood, the background sound is very festive as the Christmas day approaches, but because of the current situation of our province, this Christmas will be different for some of us 🥹 while I was walking, I smell the freshly brewed coffee from Dunkin Donut so I bought for me and my Father.

For my opinion, nothing beats the plain brewed coffee of Dunkin Donuts, I did not buy donuts, I don't feel like eating anything sweet today, I was craving for something savory and salty, and was thinking of "Kikiam" a famous filipino street food made of fish and flour, it is like fish balls, but the texture is longer and i believe it has some added scallions or chives, I am not sure, but i really like it, especially dipped with the manong fishball sauce that I am really good at making 😉, it is so heavenly (next time i will share with you the step by step procedure and ingredients of how to make it)
On our way back, you will notice that some damaged establishments were yet to be fixed, and the weather is sometimes still, gloomy

when we arrived home, it was already almost 6pm so i turned the solar light, if it is too Sunny, no need to charge it using the electricity, but like what I have mentioned, it was cloudy, so we have to charge it too, I'm so thankful for this product, this doesn't just help save with the electricity bill, it is specially useful during calamities, such as now that the power has been down.

We are also using a car battery and DC to AC power inverter for the internet, we only open the internet twice or thrice a day to conserve the car battery,

you can also charge it using electricity, however, you have to buy a separate battery charger like this

just incase you want to find an alternative power source other than generator, this is very useful.
And then, I finally cooked the kikiam which I and my father bought on the way home, hooray,

Cravings satisfied 😋🤤
That's it for today's adventure,
It may sound boring, but I have actually learnt to value each day with optimism, still thanking the universe, that my family was spared from this tragic calamity, and to always look on the brighter side, honestly, we can lose everything but, please never lose hope
tomorrow will be better , I know for sure
Thank you for listening and reading
