Hello, everyone.
I welcome you to my blog. For me, cooking is one of the most difficult tasks anyone has to do. It is a very stressful thing for me, and I try to avoid cooking whenever I get the chance. Sometimes people mention cooking as their hobby, and I am left wondering how they enjoy doing something I find very difficult to do. I was forced to learn how to cook at the age of 8; dad was never around, and sometimes mom travels for a day or two for her business. Being the eldest, I wasn't going to let my siblings starve, so I had to learn how to cook. Truth be told, if not for that, I doubt if I would have ever bothered myself about cooking.

I still remember that the first food I prepared was spaghetti 😂. You can actually use straw for the spaghetti 😂. It was like an island with the spaghetti in the middle and water everywhere. As they say, practice makes perfect I continued and from there now I am a better cook but don't enjoy doing it because I find it stressful. I gained admission into the university and I am grateful to my mom for putting me in the position where I had to learn how to cook, I got to the university, and all the friends I made are either first born child with about 3 or four younger sisters who do the cooking for them or last born child with sisters who do the cooking for them too. I was the only one with an idea about how to cook.
Any day we decide to cook, I know it is on me, but they will have to make all the necessary preparations, and I just do the cooking. The day I allowed one of them to cook, I couldn't eat. From the top of the pot of rice to some point in the middle had the color of the oil used, then from that point to the bottom was white and tasteless. That day I was eating and frowning; since then, I either cook myself or we all do takeout. Back to the question: homemade food or takeout?
It all depends on where I am. At home, my mom hates to eat out or do takeout because she talks about hygiene and how she has been to many restaurants and doesn't like how they handle the food, but they still handle it that way anyway; after all, they are not the ones that will eat it. So when I am at home, I don't eat outside and don't do takeout; no matter what, we must prepare a homemade meal instead of takeout.
Well, in school, the story is different, If I am in school and my stomach rumbles, I prefer to do takeout rather than stress myself about cooking. I try to avoid it at every given opportunity. I don't think twice about dodging anything that will lead me to the kitchen.
Thanks for reading my post.
