I grew up in a home where my dad was involved in the kitchen. He often cooked our meals, likewise taking care of other kitchen duties. His omelet was the best I've ever tasted. He actually served missionary priests, so he knew how to cook up a storm in the kitchen.
To make it a family affair, my parents ensured that all their children, both males and females were well-trained in kitchen duties. They did this because they wanted to instill a sense of responsibility, teamwork, and equality among their children, regardless of gender.
Times are changing, and the world is moving at a fast pace. Both males and females are now actively involved in business, career building and other pursuits to bring something to the table. As a result, the workload at the home front, especially the kitchen, needs to be shared.
Why do I say so?
Since couples now share responsibilities like bill payments, and other tasks, it's only fair that kitchen duties are not entirely left to the women. Therefore, I'm absolutely for "LET THE MEN GET INVOLVED IN THE KITCHEN!"
In today's world, equality and shared responsibilities are essential in any relationship.
By the way, the home, kitchen, and every thing in it belong to both partners, and they contribute to it's upkeep, why then should men shy away from helping out in the kitchen? After all, the kitchen is theirs too, and they eat the meals prepared there. Therefore they should also contribute to the effort.
Moreover there's no universal rule restricting men from cooking. If there was, we wouldn't be seeing men building successful careers in the culinary industry. In fact, some are even celebrated chefs! We have them on Hive here too.
Moreover, involving men in kitchen duties can help break down the stereotype that cooking is solely a female domain, and encourage mutual contribution and support to the family's well-being.
It takes two to manage a household.
Not only that, men helping out in the kitchen not only promotes teamwork and mutual respect but also allows for a more balanced distribution of household chores. Little tasks like cleaning up after her, prepping the ingredients, handing her the spoon, or even tasting the meal wouldn't be asking for too much, or would it?
Apart from the "oza room", the kitchen is another room where couples can spice up their relationship.
Relationships need some spices too, not only food.
Spices like throwing in some gists, flattering her, and whispering sweet nothings into her ears, making her giggle like the little girl in love? Hey, there's no barrier to sharing love in the kitchen. Adding some romance and playfulness while in the kitchen, can help couples turn kitchen duties into a fun and loving experience that brings them closer together.
Cook together, cook up equality, bond and create memories!
