Hello Hivians! I’m happy to be a part of this space. My name is Jeremiah Martins. I come Enugu state, Nigeria. I am currently in my final year in the University, in the department of Electronics and Electrical Engineering. Playing with wires has been a fun thing for me way back in my Junior Secondary school days.
I remember how I used to pick us damaged electrical stuffs like sockets, extensions, remotes and keep stuff them up in my closet just to scatter them up, play with them and then fix them up. My mom and siblings often looked t me like someone who had gone nuts whenever they came across the heap of electrical appliances in my room. There were times I even picked up stuff from the road on my way to somewhere or coming home, lol.
So, picking Electrical Engineering as my desired course when seeking admission into the University wasn’t something I thought of twice. But it’s funny how we develop new interests in other things over time. Around my second semester in my first year in the University I fell in love with acting. I’ve always found drama interesting, but getting into school produced a particular interest in it.
I remember escorting my friend Gideon who already got engaged into acting since our first semester to rehearsals. I’ll just seat at the corner watching everything. And gradually, that was how I started learning. Maybe that was the main reason I fell in love with the sport.
From there, I started seeking for the opportunity to be a part of this acting thing. I do hope to go into movie when completely done with my education. Even though I don’t really go into acting I’m thinking delving into movie production. But it definitely would be movie related. I also love reading a lot. One of the books that really changed my mindset as a person last year was Atomic Habits. I had to read that book twice. And I am even thinking of going through it one more time.
When I sometimes feel bored and in need of something fun to do I meet up my friends at the pitch and play volleyball. It helps me a lot in relieving stress.
