Good night everyone ☕ 🦋
On this occasion I would like to share some photos of dead Pycnoporus cinnabarinus mushrooms, this mushroom is usually known for its striking reddish orange color when it is still fresh and alive, but over time everything changes, when this mushroom dies the color changes to pitch black and giving a very different form from the original.
This fungus that I found grows on the surface of dead wood, a habitat that is a favorite place for Pycnoporus cinnabarinus, rotting wood provides a source of nutrition for this fungus, when these fungi are still alive I usually find them to have a very bright orange color. typical, but as it grows and rots, the color has now changed to black.
Even though this mushroom has died and its color has changed completely, there is a side that really attracts my attention, namely "mushroom gills", if you are willing to look closely at the photos I am sharing this time then you will find the beauty of the mushroom gills. It looks like fish scales and is arranged very neatly and gives a unique texture that is very different from other mushrooms. These gills not only function to release spores but are also a characteristic of this mushroom which makes it easy to recognize.
So on this occasion I would like to invite you all to see the beauty of the gills of the Pycnoporus cinnabarinus mushroom more closely, here are some photos of the gills of the Pycnoporus cinnabarinus mushroom that I have captured for you ☺️
all the flesh of the mushroom has been damaged, all that remains are small holes, this shows how amazing the Pycnoporus cinnabarinus mushrooms are even though they are dead.
The mushroom flesh is still intact, the gill pattern is neatly arranged like fish scales and decorated with a distinctive black color, making this mushroom really beautiful, I was amazed when I saw them where they grew.
the color and shape of the surface of the mushroom are no less interesting, even though this mushroom has been dead for a long time, the beauty of the carving art can still be seen very clearly, there you can still find the remaining basic color of the mushroom before it turns completely black.
What do you think about the photo I shared this time? Is this interesting and worth discussing with you?
Thank you very much for reading my mushroom blog today, I have shown several photos of the gills of the Pycnoporus cinnabarinus mushroom which looks like fish scales which are very beautiful and scary, actually I really want to discuss this mushroom in more detail but due to time constraints I have to discuss it briefly, therefore I really hope for your understanding.
