Writer's Block and How I Overcome It

Tips for Overcoming Writer's Block

Have you ever experienced writer's block?

A blank page. My fingers are ready to hit the keyboard. But I don’t know what to write. I start typing a few words, then delete them. Type again, delete again. Over and over.

An hour has passed, and I’m still staring at the blank page on the monitor.
“Aaarrrrgggghhhh…!”
I try typing again, but after just a few sentences, my ideas suddenly hit a wall. I don’t know how to continue.

Plop!
Another idea pops into my head. I start typing until yet another idea pops into my head. I delete the paragraph I just wrote. The same cycle repeats itself.
Another hour had passed.

I gave up on posting yesterday night.

I can't write anything coz something block my idea

Writer’s Block. That’s what people call what I’m going through. A common condition experienced by writers when ideas are stuck or they can’t produce any writing.

Wait a minute. Can I even call myself a writer? Just because I’m trying to write consistently.

I don’t know.

You know, getting stuck for ideas when you want to write is really frustrating. Especially when you’re trying to start a consistent writing habit.

It’s not that I want to write something perfect. That’s not it. I just don’t know what to write. Something’s blocking me there.

So what do I do?

Right now, I’m forcing myself to write. Free writing. Writing whatever I want. Including writing about the writer’s block I’m experiencing right now.

Because that’s how experienced writers share their tips for overcoming writer’s block.

Does it work?

You can draw your own conclusions, since you’re reading this post of mine.

So, are there any other tips for overcoming writer’s block?

You probably won’t find this tip anywhere else, but it works for me.

Make writing feel urgent. Make it feel like your life depends on it.

Usually, when the situation is urgent, your superpowers will kick in—even when you’re facing writer’s block.

So, when you absolutely have to write, just write. Write freely. Whatever comes to mind. It’s okay if it’s bad. Once you find your rhythm, keep going and write whatever you want.

Hope this helps.

So, have you ever experienced writer’s block? Tell us how you overcame it!

Many thanks to you. I really appreciate it ☺️

Writer's block is definitely no fun, but sometimes it's the brain's way of forcing us to take a much-needed break. At least that's typically what happens with me. 😆

Hahaha… yeah, sometimes when your mind is burned out, taking a break is the best solution. Shift your focus to something else that might have nothing to do with writing.

In my case, being backed into a corner is my secret weapon. Sometimes when I’m backed into a corner, I can tap into my best abilities—ones I never even knew I had.

My suggestion is to keep writing and not stop. You're doing great, even writing about having nothing to write about—that's fantastic!

Yes, of course. That is what I am doing. Thank you for your support. Have a wonderful day ☺️🙏

I think it's ok to face such a situation. I also faced such a situation sometimes. Sometimes it happens because you are out of ideas to write, and sometimes it's just because of your mood. If you don't find a topic to write about, why not write about your daily life or an interesting incident of the day? I guess it will help you.

Thank you so much for your advice. Yesterday, I was planning to continue writing the outline I'd already made. But as I said, I ran out of ideas.

In the end, I put it on hold. So, I wrote about having nothing to write about. Hehehe...😅

Thanks for stopping by and reading my post. Have a great day, buddy!

Just keep writing until it became you habit. I think it's something all of us experience at some point. So, I can understand your situation well.

Yes, I want to make writing a daily habit. Especially with the E-Cency Quest, I’m even more motivated to write every day.

Feedback from the August Hive Power Up Day
Hive Power Up Month Challenge - July 2026 Winners List

I have it most of the time. In the past, there were days when I relied my living on 20s Blogs, so I had to write a post everyday because those days we hadn't had any AI writing tools.

As the result, even I could not get any idea, somehow automatically or by instinct I could start writing from random blabbering into one whole post.

So, how many blogs are still active now, bro? I can't imagine managing 20 blogs on your own—unless, of course, you outsource things like the articles.

Turns out you're a veteran in the blogging world, bro. Amazing.

they stopped more than a decade ago, I changed my career path and left that world

At least you have a lot of writing experience. That’s awesome, because not many people can write. Especially managing dozens of blogs.
