Every week from December I have made a habit of sketching once a week and documenting it in written format .
So this week I drew another sketch study this time it was a girl with fringes .
I am not really a pro at it but I'm learning more by practicing each week.
I start always by roughly sketching the main shapes and taking 15 minutes to make sure I drew all of the face rightfully . Many people get stuck in this step but tbh its all about seeing distance between the features how they align and shapes.
After I roughly sketch the placement of all the facial features and hair shape with a 2h pencil the next step is to start shading and for this sketch I kept the shading really subtle and soft .
I started by shading the eyebrows with a 7b pencil and added some soft shading to the cheek bones with a 2b pencil also shaded the lips and the waterline of the eyes so it pops a little bit more.
Now I blended it all with a blending stump and shaded the hair with a 8b pencil. Remember to always draw hair like how they will grow and in which direction also add a few highlights to them .
I added women Moore eyelashes and made the eye pupils more darker at this step. I also erased some parts where the shading looked a bit out of place . next I shade the contours of nose giving it more shape.
Now we blend it all with a blending stump and and here is our Final result.
I always enjoy how the end piece turns out. I learn so many things by just attempting to draw . Practice really makes a huge difference after all we all learn from our mistakes .
That is all for today Thank you for your precious time and support
