Most incidents tend to remind me that humans always have an option, they always do have options or plans worked out from A to Z, and if you are not careful about choosing yourself amid their plans from A to Z, you will always end up drained, stressed, and empty because you gave out too much to even realize you are empty and left alone.
In the world, we have the good and the bad, and most times, even your loved ones can be tagged the "bad" not because they are bad in the essence that they kill or commit but because they are self-centered, selfish, greedy and love themselves more than they love another, so they wouldn't mind using you just because you are available for them until you are left drained and dry.
It's okay to assist, it's okay to help, it's okay to burn for people, it's okay to go all out for people regardless of who they are, but while you are at it, don't forget yourself, don't forget that humans can be good or bad, and they can choose to be good today and bad the next day, so while you are at making yourself useful and helpful, don't forget that humans will always be humans. They will find an alternative when you stop existing.
Today they may be praising you for being their help and their lifesaver and tomorrow they will not even remember how you burnt yourself for them, and how you got drenched by the rain for them, so while giving your all to them, don't forget yourself, choose yourself, choose your values, choose your principles, choose your goals, choose your agenda, choose your life, choose your future, before anything else because they will always be an alternative when you don't.
While making yourself available and burning yourself out for people, don't forget yourself, and don't forget to nourish your life, because when you get drained, dry, and empty, they will look for another person to continue from where you stop. Oh! It's the reality of life.
We cry over the death of our loved ones especially if he was the breadwinner of the family and most times, we ask ourselves, "How are we going to survive, now that they are gone", but the truth is after the tears, we dry our tears and find an alternative to survive now that they are gone. This should let you know that while you are being too available for people when you are gone, they will find an alternative to fill the void you left behind.
