Good Day Fellow dCity Major.
Today I visited my dCity and I got surprised because something off with my dCity. There two things that surprised me this day, let start from the simple one, NFTmarts has ended their service.
you can check the NFT mart link from the bottom of your http://dcity.io page. I highlighted it with a red box like above screen shoot.
They have discontinued their service due to Hive Engine new policy. I do not wish to write down retelling this story again, or giving my comment or opinion about this case... I just wanted to say thank you, they were very helpful to me in doing market activities for my dCity.
I wish the best for them, and wish the best of luck in their new journey.
Now the real surprise I have... take a look at my dCity right now:
There is a big problem in my dCity, suddenly I notice that my dCity is lacking 25 workers. I have made sure that last week everything were ok, and then this thing happened... I have 5 inactive NFT(s) right now which is bad for my dCity.
After some minutes trying to figure out what's wrong with it, finally I find it here:
I have never expected that my bid on some NFT(s) will finally hit the seller. I have got some NFT buildings with a great price, this cause my dCity to run out of idle workers.
I am glad it is not something that dangerous, in fact it is a blessing in disguise. and I have rechecked my rank, it has improved and here is the comparison table:

The stats improve good and my rank has improved well compared to last week. So I guess everything should be ok and the problem should only need some small fix to settle it down.
So this week let's do something else, shall we?
Fix The Problem First
Before I do something or buy some NFTs, I should fix my dCity main problem first, which is getting additional 25 workers.
I am buying 2 Apartments at 14.600 $SIM. I think that's a fair price. Honestly I haven't got used with this interface, the in-game market UI. I guess I have missed NFT mart that bad lol.
Now everything looks good, I guess the I have done many right things in the past that set a good foundation for my dCity. Now I can focus on the new phase.
EDUCATION AND CREATIVITY
Education and creativity are not some number that are used for ranking only. Let me screenshot from in-game information about what those two really are.
They are for getting free technologies and free animations. We need 80 education for 1 % chance of daily free technology and 160 creativity for 1% of free background. Chasing both are expensive and will distract my main focus to push up my dCity income rank.. However I think my dCity has reached a position to be atleast eligible for the minimum odds to win something free.
My education is 61, and I need 19 more education to get that 1% daily chance. My Creativity is 110 and I need 50 more to get that 1% daily chance. After several consideration, I think I should make a justification today, I will skip my Income pumping first, just to make sure I am eligible for the free raffle of technology and background.
But before I go, I will remind you all that I have these rule of thumbs that I follow since months ago:
- Buildings > Citizens. Initially I bought cheap citizen such as workers, because they are cheaper. I got some buffs, like tax refund, income, popularity by buying special citizens in discount. But when they died, stats dropped badly, and my rank crumbled. So Right now I focus more on buildings over citizens.
- My Income Rank is mainly generated by young citizens. Instead of trying different methods from selling them and replace them with better NFTs or Cards, whether they are building or citizens, I try to focus increasing basic income and fighting social support cost in order to be able to house in more young citizens.
- Incase I will add new rule here, they should not change the first and second rules.
Regarding this is not about income, so I will focus on getting NFT buildings only and here are the cards I get right now
I bought 14 cards at 46.258 $SIM. It is not something that small but far from enormous. I think it is a good size of purchase if we want to have our dCity growing in a good pace.
My dCity looks great now, and it seems I have made stupid mistake. Instead of getting 160 education, I get 220 education. I miscalculate the education because I wrongly get mix off between the workers and the education.
At least it still makes my dCity looks great
Where I Am Now
I started this game together with my friends @arveno and @ramadhanight. Well it is not exactly at the same time, but I think it was within the same week. So let's check our rank right now...

From the comparison above, we can see that the crazy rich @arveno is leading the Income race with a huge gap. His income is more than doubled from mine, it is 570 $SIM vs 208 $SIM. Actually he has reached almost triple from what I have.
Meanwhile @ramadhanight is sitting on the last of everything. Well he has been busy recently and many things happened on him. Can blame him any, I can only congratulate him for his last newborn. Your family is getting bigger dude!!
So the next phase will be about how I will chase up @arveno income there. Definitely it is not an easy one, it is a super hard and won't be soft and cheap.
So at this point I can only say see you next Time! Next Time I will come with some moves to chase up my gap there.
