I was watching a documentary video of how we coped with the tsunami disaster in Aceh two decades ago, and how we (the people prone to the disaster) got ready and prepared in case such a thing happens in the future. It was a very tragic disaster that happened, which brought a lot of destruction during the time, but we have to learn to live with that because the land that we live in lies in the ring of fire which means that another disaster is waiting to occur; we can't totally predict that or stop it from happening, but we can be prepare for the worst.
I am happy that some of the cities are getting ready, and already making a lot of plans on how to mitigate for the worst incase Mother Nature decides to unleash her destructive power. They have installed so many observation point, and then made the escape route and educated the people on what to do when such a thing happens.
But the funny but sad story also emerge on how at first some people are stubbornly stupid, who refuse the education of the mitigation, even mocked the volunteer, chased them away even by force, even with the extreme with sharp weapon, because they think the the volunteer only spread fear, and there is no man is above the God that could know what will happen.
I also believe that there is no man above God, but we were also blessed with the intelligence to understand science, and make use of that to mitigate things in case bad things happen.
I mean that those kind of stubbornly stupid people who makes the government work harder, but once the disaster strikes, they are the first people to blame the government for the disaster that happens.
