As the saying goes, the grass is always greener on the other side. The people here in my country sometimes love to glorify thing that is done by some politician in the other country, love to say how great are the system in the other country compare to what happening here in the country. Some are cheering on Elon Musk's Doge, taking control of some agencies in the US, and how they do the government efficiently.
But when those kinds of things are done by the government here in my country they all complain, and accuse the ruling government is not caring about their people. I know that some of the policies that they have done are still questionable, but then why the hypocrisy? Most of us know how bad some of the public servants here in the country are, some of them mock them for their inability on social media, but when some of them are laid off because of their efficiency, we should keep them because they are the breadwinners in their family. I mean, when we are trying to make things better, why then we complain again, when they want to do the things that some of us demand, why cry on social media?
We all are in awe of how clean and civilized Japan is, how tidy they are, and how they seem to follow all the rules of the public. But get angry when we get stopped by the police when we break the traffic law. Complain about the traffic jams, yet never want to try public transportation, and when there is one, we try to break things by vandalizing them.
it is really interesting to see how things are going here in my country, as sometimes it can be pretty funny but could make your blood boil as well.
