It’s interesting that your writing career was inspired by Barbara Cartland; I’m sure that that’s a first. Your description of your curiosity and delight at the illicit nature of your discovery is a sheer joy to read :

Then, as usual, reading led me to another habit: writing love stories. Each book hidden in the pockets of my pants or in the folds of my skirt left roots, traces, colors, which exploded inside me, as a watermelon explodes when it falls to the ground, filling the juices of life with shades, wide, bright.
