The sky is in this state with some black clouds and some white clouds. Because during the rainy season, it rains almost all day. During the rainy season, the sky is terrible. Sometimes there is lightning, sometimes the sky roars like a lion.
During the rainy season, I can't go out much. I am lying inside the house, feeling the rain in my heart. Suddenly, my younger brother ran and pushed the door open. The news came that a new room of the primary school, which was built three months ago, had collapsed due to the rain. Since it was noon, there were no students in the classroom. I ran there and saw everything lying on the ground.
People started coming from the surrounding area, they all gathered in one place. However, the rain was getting me wet little by little.
Suddenly, Jabbar's uncle said, "The budget for this classroom came from the chairman. So how did it collapse so quickly?
I saw Kamal Chacha standing next to me, all wet because he was coming from the field.
With his hands behind his back, he said with a wet voice, "Aren't the contractors who were responsible for these works to blame, brother? They brought bricks and sand for less money, which is probably why this situation is happening."
The village mechanic uncle said angrily, "Is this my fault? I worked the way I got the budget."
The chairman sat on the school veranda and listened to everything. He then said to the mason in a very angry state, "Are you flattering me? I gave you almost all the money from the budget to build these houses. Then you can see the account from me."
"Are we stupid? Don't we understand anything? Yet, people's houses have survived in a disaster bigger than this disaster. And this school building has barely survived yet.", Jabbar's uncle came forward and said.
The chairman's face turned pale. He said, "We should think about how to fix everything again now."
After a while, teacher Matiur Rahman came with an umbrella in his hand. When he arrived, he saw that everyone was arguing and everyone was talking in whispers, wondering what he was talking about.
He raised his voice a little and said to everyone, "What has happened has happened. Now we have to move forward. We have to think about how we can fix this place again. It is normal that this has happened because of someone's mistake. I request all of you to listen to me."
Matiur Sir said again, "This school is ours, our young children study in this school. So all of us in the village should make it good and get teaching here again. Some of us work with our talent, some work with our labor, some donate money. If we blame someone, it will not be solved."
Kamal Chacha calmed down a little and said, "Sir, there is logic in your words. You are absolutely right. If we blame someone, it will not be solved."
The chairman got up from the chair and came into the field. Then he said, "I will pay the money, no problem, I will pay fifty percent of the money on my behalf."
He said to the mechanic in a stern voice, "You also work here with your labor."
An old man sitting on one side of the field said in a trembling voice, "What has happened is that we should think about where our children will study. Thinking about their future, we all come forward again. God willing, when the rain stops, we will all come here together and start working."
There was a lot of peace and order in the field at that time. Everyone was in a very silent state. People then understood that instead of blaming someone, we should do the wrong thing again properly. Of course, this time we will have to supervise well. They all understood this.
The next day there was no rain in the sky. After three or four days of rain, the sky has now become much better. Many people came to the school field in the morning. The chairman had sent almost everything, rods, cement, sand. The mason uncle started working. The people of the village helped him in various tasks. There were also some small children who were pushing the mason uncle forward one by one. Maybe they also understood that we had to fix our school building again.
It took three to four days to build the houses. The chairman used to come regularly and see how the houses were being built. This time, it was clear that he was very interested.
The day of the inauguration of the school houses arrived again. The chairman cut the ribbon. He addressed everyone and said, "If you only pay money to do the work, it will not be good. Sometimes you need to check how the work is being done. Sometimes you need to supervise. If I made a mistake, you must forgive me."
Hearing this, the people of the village became very emotional. It seemed as if they all forgave the chairman.
Matiur Sir took the microphone and said, "What did we learn here? Here, we learned that blaming someone does not solve the problem. Look, we were all united, which is why we were able to do the work. This is a matter of pride for us."
And thus the inauguration ceremony ended with the applause of the village people. The young children were very happy that they had a new house to study in again. They started walking home, singing songs.
