HOW I SPENT THE LAST WEEKEND

For the past one week, I have been trying to actively work on sleeping early. My body has become so used to sleeping late that I literally find it hard to sleep early. Well, I am a work in progress in that aspect now, and I am loving every bit of it. I like the way I wake up earlier than normal; it makes me feel more ready to face the day and get things done.

On Saturday (that's about 3 days ago), I woke up around 7 a.m., and when it reached about 9 a.m., it started to rain heavily. Honestly, it was the perfect weather for a watch-movie-in-bed-all-day kind of vibe. A typical lazy day with the perfect excuses for it to be. It was cold, the streets were empty, and it seemed like there wasn't much going on in the world. In fact, it was perfect weather to sleep back after waking up. It was just giving a very chill kind of vibe. I stared out my window for a while, admiring the view as it rained and the cold breeze touched my skin.

I didn't feel like watching movies or going back to bed, so I had to start my day regardless. I took some hot pap because of the cold, and then I went to the sitting room to continue the book I have been reading. The book is This is Marketing and the author is Seth Godin. I have mentioned it in one of my posts. I curled up on the chair while I read the book to a point.

I had plans to go visit my friend that same day for a sleepover. She had accused me of not visiting her frequently, so I had to make it up to her in some way. When the rain subsided a bit, I started making preparations to go.

By the time the rain stopped, I had already taken my bath, and I was ready to move. I got to the bus stop, and weirdly, I didn't see a vehicle on time. I had to wait for several minutes, and I took this picture out of boredom.

I eventually got one, and when I got to my friend's place, she was making her sister’s hair. I offered to help for a while to complete the braids for her after she made it to a certain level. I don't really know how to make hair—that was the only thing I could do. I was just randomly telling them how much I would love to know how to make hair when I found out that she had a mannequin I could practice with. I rushed to pick it up from her room.

I loosened the first weave it had on, combed and moisturized it. They (my friend and another friend of hers who has become my friend as well) showed me how to make the weaving, and after struggling a few times, I eventually made this!

I was super excited about achieving that because I have always wanted to know how to make hair all my life. I was so excited I was able to get the explanation and make that. I eventually did it again, and this was the result.

The next day, after we got back from church, I offered to help my friend's friend make her hair. I told her I needed to practice more, and she agreed. That was officially the first hair I would make for a person—especially just a day after it was explained to me. I was quite slow, but eventually, I achieved this!

For my first try, do you think I did pretty well? I personally think I did.

Thanks for reading ♥️
