Donald Trump is talking up crypto on the Bitcoin trail. His latest idea is for the US Government to add Bitcoin to its strategic reserve.
In this video I discuss the idea, something that is not unexpected. At some point, if confidence in Bitcoin holds true, governments will add it to their holdings.

I've learned to take whatever comes out of Trump's mouth with a heavy dose of salt. Everyone knows he's a liar, and since it is election season, he likes to drop random topics here and there. I still remember his wall that he will make Mexico pay for, among other things.
But I do agree that governments holding BTC could be beneficial. Since we're heading into the digital age, BTC is its equivalent of gold.
Why do people fall for his lies? He will say anything to get elected and has some nasty people backing him. I dread him getting elected again even when I don't live in the US.
Your guess is as good as mine. I've read one analysis that the people who vote for him see their inner self in him. So all those racists, extremists, and what not, idolize him since he is able to say what they only think and internalize.
He's an extreme version of the populist who echoes the concerns of many people, but actually wants to subvert democracy. In his case I do think it's largely about his ego, but he has corrupted the Republican party in the process. A second term could be a disaster for the world.

I agree. Especially now when there are a lot of conflicts, and the US is being relied upon by a lot of oppressed countries. Trump taking office and rescinding all of the assistance, or even helping the oppressor would be catastrophic.
This single decision of Donald Trump might give him an edge in the elections. I know the crypto guys we herald him 😀
