It is quite clear at this point that Trump is running a scheme and trying all the means available to him to profit as much as he can with the opportunity the presidency has provided him.
First of all, his procrypto stance made him to be viewed as good for the crypto market, so as soon as he was elected BTC shot for the sky. He and his advisers saw this and knew that more was even going to happen for the market prices on inauguration day, so he made his own meme coin right before the inauguration and made the monies that would have gone to the market to go to his coin.
Maybe I'm being too critical of this Trump coin move, but let's keep going.
The most obvious selfish moves are the next ones he made. He announced a serious intention for a crypto reserve that had Eth, Ada, etc. and had the prices of the coins he mentioned blooming, but just before the announcement someone had placed a long with hundreds of millions of dollars as the margin.
(For those who don't know about futures, that just means someone placed a bet worth hundreds of millions of dollars that the prices of those coins were going to go up)
Next, he began his tariff wars, and when he announces a good news we'll find out someone already placed a huge bet on Long before the announcement. When he makes a bad announcement we find that someone had already placed a huge bet on Short just before the announcement.
And he just keeps going back and forth like that, Long to Short, Short to Long. All the while making billions in profits.
Next, the war in Iran, the back and forth with good news and bad news are there too, with huge bets preceding these news, billions in profits again.
With all these it's hard to imagine him ever stopping. It looks like he'll keep coming up with situations to warrant the back and forth of good news and bad news, causing the swings, raking home huge profits.
Only Way to Imagine a Bull Run
• Elon Musk once had a sway on the markets and positive or negative announcements from him affected the market, until the market grew tired of him and decided to ignore him to a good enough extent. It is barely possible, but could the market grow tired of what Trump is doing and begin ignoring him too?
• Trump might stop all the back and forth on his own because he has played that hand too much, and he might decide to play another hand that favours a bull run, all for his own profits, of course.
Conclusion
The bottom line is that this guy only does anything he does for personal gain, and with a guy like that it is hard to imagine what he does favouring the collective. The biggest hope for those wanting a bull run anytime soon is that it happens in spite of what Trump does.
